Overview
ALLTORC tools and services are warranted as set out below. The applicable warranty depends on whether the product is new, refurbished, or rented, and whether the work is calibration, repair, or field service.
Manufacturer Warranties
New tools are covered by the original manufacturer's warranty, which passes through to the original purchaser. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product line. Typical periods include:
- RAD Torque Systems controlled-torque tools: as published by RAD
- Hi-Force hydraulic tools: 12 months from date of purchase
- Norwolf, ATW, Petol, Digitool, RenQuip, Better Bolting: refer to documentation supplied with the tool
Warranty registration and claim handling is supported through ALLTORC. We coordinate with manufacturers on your behalf for warranty assessment, repair, and replacement.
Calibration Warranty
Calibration work performed by ALLTORC is warranted to be accurate as of the date of calibration, as stated on the Certificate of Calibration. The calibration is valid for 12 months under normal use, in line with industry recall practice and the requirements of common standards (ISO 6789, API, ASME).
If a tool is dropped, overloaded, or otherwise abused, calibration is invalidated regardless of the time since the certificate was issued. We recommend a recalibration any time a tool has been subject to a known incident.
Repair Warranty
Repair work is warranted against defects in workmanship for 90 days from the date the repaired tool is returned to the customer. Replacement parts are warranted for the longer of the manufacturer's part warranty or 90 days.
The repair warranty covers the specific repair carried out. It does not cover unrelated faults that develop or pre-existing wear that was not addressed by the original work order.
Field Service Warranty
Field bolting work is warranted to have been performed in accordance with the agreed scope of work, using calibrated tools, by competent technicians. Documentation issued at the conclusion of the work is the warranted output.
ALLTORC does not warrant the integrity of joints beyond the workmanship of the bolting operation itself. Joint design, gasket selection, flange condition, and operating conditions remain the customer's responsibility unless ALLTORC has been engaged on a design-and-build basis.
Exclusions
The following are not covered by any ALLTORC warranty:
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, or operator error
- Damage caused by use outside the rated capacity or specification of the tool
- Modifications not authorised by ALLTORC or the manufacturer
- Repairs or calibration work performed by anyone other than ALLTORC or the manufacturer's authorised service network
- Wear parts (seals, O-rings, blades, batteries) consumed in normal operation
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect function
- Tools whose serial number has been removed, altered, or rendered illegible
How To Make A Claim
If you believe a tool or work performed by us is defective:
- Contact us with the order number, work order number, or invoice number
- Describe the issue, ideally with photos or a brief video showing the fault
- We will issue a Return Material Authorisation (RMA) number
- Return the tool, freight prepaid, with the RMA number on the package and the original Certificate of Calibration if applicable
- We assess the claim and either repair, replace, or refund as appropriate within 10 business days of receipt
If the issue is determined to be outside warranty (misuse, wear, etc.), we will quote any chargeable repair before proceeding. The tool will be returned at your request if the quote is declined.
Limitation Of Warranty
Except as expressly set out above, ALLTORC disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. Our maximum liability under any warranty is limited to the price paid for the tool or service in question.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights that vary from state to state.
