Mining is strenuous physical labour. For this reason, our tools are specified to be ergonomically friendly. The mining industry traditionally relied on large impact wrenches that caused wear and tear on both the tool itself and the operator's body and wrists. With RAD wrenches, there is no impact. The user just sets each tool to a specific torque to achieve plus or minus 5% accuracy.
Haul Trucks Are A Specialty
When it comes to mining, haul trucks are RAD's specialty. In addition to replacing tires, we supply strut kits for the Caterpillar 797 and the Komatsu 980, plus tools for engine barring, tie rod bolts for haul truck suspensions, and wrenches for track pads, final drive segments, cutting blades, mill liners, and wheel nuts.
